The Rotary Club of Hendersonville will now accept applications for college scholarships. This year, the Rotary Club of Hendersonville anticipates awarding seven scholarships for $3,000 each and three at $1,500 each for a total of $26,500. Scholarships will be based on academic achievement and financial need. The scholarships will be awarded to a student who will be attending any accredited higher education institution in the United States next year.
The scholarships will be awarded to graduating students residing in the Hendersonville area who are currently attending Beech, Hendersonville, Station Camp, Merrol Hyde or Pope John Paul II High Schools or who are home schooled in Hendersonville.
Please click here to download the 2017 application (PDF). Students are to submit their completed application to the guidance office at their school no later than Wednesday, March 30, 2017. A member of the Club will pick up the applications from the guidance office on Thursday afternoon, March 31, 2017. No late applications will be accepted.
It is required that the completed applications include:
- copy of their high school transcript, showing ACT scores
- copy of their parents’ or guardians’ latest signed IRS From 1040 (black out SSNs)
- one letter of recommendation from teachers
Students may attach additional pages if there is not enough space on the application form.
