Rotary Club Donates to Children Are People

Hendersonville Rotary Club president Rip Lebkuecher presented a $1000.00 donation to Fred Bailey, founder of Children Are People at Wednesday’s meeting. Children Are People, Inc, (CAP) was founded in 2000 by Bailey, who had a desire to make a difference in the lives of children who need extra attention to become successful.

Mission Discovery Speaks to Rotary Club

Hendersonville Rotarian Bram Baker introduced Mission Discovery President Maury Buchanan as the Club’s speaker. Buchanan, a youth minister since 1975, led teams of students from his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee to places like the Dominican Republic, and Central America and saw the powerful change in their lives as a result to the trips.

Hendersonville Rotarian Kee Bryant-McCormick presented a donation check from the Club to PJ Davis of the Gallatin Shalom Zone. Gallatin Shalom Zone is an organization designed to engage residents of Gallatin’s Clearview community in the work of healing, peace, reconciliation, justice, and love so that they can grow beyond their current circumstances and, together, live as a beloved community.
