The Hendersonville Rotarian Joe Beaver introduced Fred Bailey, founder of Children Are People, as the Club’s guest speaker. Children Are People, Inc, (CAP) was founded in 2000 by Bailey, who had a desire to make a difference in the lives of children who need extra attention to become successful.

Rotary Club of Hendersonville Sponsors Girls on the RunĀ®

Hendersonville Rotarian Anna Wooldridge introduced Jennifer Kimball, of Girls on the Run® Nashville. Girls on the Run® (GOTR) Nashville and Girls on Track® (GOT) Nashville are 12-week after school programs for 3rd through 8th grade girls.  The programs use the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.

Hendersonville Rotarian Jan Woodard introduced Kevin Hewerdine, Director of Career Services and Employer Relations at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as the Club’s guest speaker. Rose-Hulman was founded 1874 as Rose Polytechnic Institute and renamed in 1971 as Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
