
The Hendersonville Rotary Club is adding some major bling to its annual wine tasting gala,
The Days of Wine & Roses, with a raffle for a diamond solitaire worth up to $4,000, from David McKenzie Jewelers, according Brenda Payne, co-chair for the gala.

The fundraiser is set for Saturday, March 27th at the Bluegrass Yacht & Country Club from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Up for raffle is a 9.5-1.00 carat diamond solitaire with a SI-1 clarity and GH color valued at $4,000. Raffle tickets are on sale now for $100 each at www.HendersonvilleRotary.org; the catch is there are only 100 tickets available and ticket holders must be present to win.
“The Days of Wine & Roses is a major fundraiser for our club,” explains Payne. “Each year we want to make it a little more special so people want to continue coming.”
Tickets are priced at $75 each and include wine tastings of over 200 wines from around the world, an international beer tasting station, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. The evening will conclude with the raffle drawing.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.HendersonvilleRotary.org, at the door or by contacting any member of the Hendersonville Rotary Club. Valet parking and Safe Ride Home will be available through out the evening.

The Hendersonville Rotary club provides funds for many purposes including the Samaritan Center, the Hendersonville Community Child Care Center, Books from Birth, Children Are People, the Salvus Center and the many scholarships bestowed to area high school seniors who are furthering their education after graduation. The Hendersonville Morning Rotary Club also organizes a yearly trip to Guatemala to provide free dental care for children and adults in the area.
The 150 plus member morning Hendersonville Rotary Club, chartered in 1969, has long been involved in community projects. On the international level, the club sponsors the annual mission trip to Guatemala. The Club meets every Wednesday at 7:30am in the fellowship hall of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, East Main Street at Stop 30 Road, across from the Holiday Inn Express
