Community Service (Heart of Rotary)

The Community Service committee covers the projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in its community. This committee shall devise and carry into effect plans which will guide and assist the members of this Club in discharging their responsibilities in their community relationships.  The chairman of this committee shall be responsible for the community service activities of the Club and shall supervise and coordinate the work of any committees that may be appointed on particular phases of community service.

  • To work within District 6760 to provide volunteers for district projects.
  • Assess needs in the community for volunteer and monetary support and make recommendations to the board.
  • Enhance public relations.

"Adopt a Road" program; Once a quarter Rotarians volunteer and gather together on a Saturday morning 7am & pick up trash along Gallatin Road.

Non-profit organization with the goal to make Christmas a happy and joyful time for some special children.

This committee supports The Dictionary Project which provides & distributes dictionaries for 3rd Graders.  The Literacy committee also supports Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (Books from Birth)

American Cancer Society Event   - Usually held in May of each year; Volunteers can participate by walking during the event times of 7pm-7am & manning the Rotary Tent
